چکیده

To determine consistent change over time in keratoconus disease, it is necessary to establish progression cut-off values based on intersession variability of the device used monitor cornea. The aim this study was analyze accuracy corneal parameters using Scheimpflug tomography and anterior segment optical coherence healthy keratoconic eyes varying severity that indicate real progression. Three repeated measurements each cornea (20 eyes) (mild = 16, moderate 25 severe 20) were recorded Pentacam Casia SS-1000 devices, which 2–3 weeks later. K1, K2, maximal posterior keratometry, thickness at thinnest location (TCT) collected. excellent with both devices; however, presented better repeatability reproducibility all groups compared Pentacam. mild stage lower (K1 0.50 0.37 D; K2 0.51 Kmax-A 1.24 0.65 Kmax-P 0.38 0.17 TCT 19.64 11.19 µm) than 1.09 0.88 1.41 0.87 2.74 2.15 0.82 0.22 28.68 14.83 µm). These results show greater severity, must occur for be considered real.

Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography: Assisted Topographic Corneal Epithelial Thickness Distribution Imaging of a Keratoconus Patient

PURPOSE To evaluate safety, efficacy and ease of measurement of epithelial thickness in a keratoconic patient based on anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT). METHODS A 25-year-old male patient, previously diagnosed with keratoconus, with highly asymmetric manifestation among the two eyes, was subjected to AS-OCT corneal epithelial imaging. We investigated epithelial thickness...

Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography Imaging of Central Toxic Keratopathy.

The authors report anterior segment optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging findings in a case of central toxic keratopathy following laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) surgery for low hyperopia. OCT imaging 1 month after surgery demonstrates that the flap thickness is maintained and the location of stromal tissue loss is just posterior to the flap in the stromal bed in the affected area. ...

Anterior segment optical coherence tomography findings of acute hydrops in a patient with keratoconus.

The authors describe the anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) findings of a 25-year-old patient with acute hydrops associated with keratoconus. The patient presented with decreased visual acuity, pain, and redness in the left eye. The symptoms, clinical presentation, and topographical findings of the right eye confirmed this condition to be acute corneal hydrops. The patient w...

Anterior Segment Tomography with the Cirrus Optical Coherence Tomography

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an optical acquisition method to examine biological tissues. In recent years, OCT has become an important imaging technology used in diagnosing and following macular pathologies. Further development enabled application of optical coherence tomography in evaluation of the integrity of the nerve fiber layer, optic nerve cupping, anterior chamber angle, or cor...
